Anthony Leotta will be give a working talk on the new IDE for the R programming language. R is an open implementation of the proprietary statistical programming language S.

We also will be introducing the draft of the new LILUG Conflict Of Interest Policy. Secretary Matt Surico will explain what a COIP should do, especially in relationship to a non-profit wishing to have tax-exempt status with the IRS; he'll also briefly outline the draft COIP.

We will then have an open group discussion, led by the LILUG officers, on an amendment to the LILUG by-laws with respect to what the appropriate actions should be for the group to take against someone violating the COIP.

Official voting on both items would not take place until the March general meeting, at the earliest.
