Linux Systems Administrator

American Home Mortgage is looking for a Linux Administrator who is to play a key role within the systems architecture and support group. This person should be highly self-motivated and capable of performing the daily responsibilities of the job with minimal supervision. The position will be responsible for the implementation, design, and support of our Linux infrastructure.

Requirements include the following:

• 6+ years of Linux administration experience in a large 24/7/365 datacenter environment. (Redhat, Suse, Fedora, etc.)
• Strong Linux knowledge, including Perl, shell scripting and system administration skills.
• Experience with Linux performance monitoring, backup/recovery/restore, clustering, and performance tuning.
• Network, systems, and security architecture design and layout experience (Visio skills required).
• Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity design and implementation experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to write clean, well-written documentation.
• The ability to work on multiple concurrent projects is essential.
• Strong self motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• SAN/Storage skills.
• VMware/Virtualization experience.
• Solaris/Unix experience
• Database experience
• RHCE/RHCA/RHCT/CCNA
