Discussions/Announcements
Postponement of Mark-Jason Dominus' Talk
- Mark-Jason Dominus from The Perl Journal will not be coming to be a guest speaker at our February meeting due to previous commitments. We will attempt to secure him at a later time this year.
LinuxWorld Passes
- Reminder: We have secured a limited amount of discounted LinuxWorld passes for group members. We may have a booth at LinuxWorld (pending an issue regarding free passes.
Comments from The Bazaar from December 1999
- In order to see the really good speakers, you had to pay much more than the $50 fee. The scope and size of the conference was small. LinuxWorld looks much larger.
Group Business
Another InstallDay
- LILUG President Matt Newhall proposed we have another Install Day. Group consensus was to hold it on a weekend, preferably a Sunday. More on this at future meetings.
Group Discussion
- The meeting moved into two groups: one for a discussion on more network pricipals and how to set up a LAN in Linux, and the other for varied discussions on late-breaking Linux technologies.
