Discussions/Announcements

Postponement of Mark-Jason Dominus' Talk

Mark-Jason Dominus from The Perl Journal will not be coming to be a guest speaker at our February meeting due to previous commitments. We will attempt to secure him at a later time this year.

LinuxWorld Passes

Reminder: We have secured a limited amount of discounted LinuxWorld passes for group members. We may have a booth at LinuxWorld (pending an issue regarding free passes.

Comments from The Bazaar from December 1999

In order to see the really good speakers, you had to pay much more than the $50 fee. The scope and size of the conference was small. LinuxWorld looks much larger.

Group Business

Another InstallDay

LILUG President Matt Newhall proposed we have another Install Day. Group consensus was to hold it on a weekend, preferably a Sunday. More on this at future meetings.

Group Discussion

The meeting moved into two groups: one for a discussion on more network pricipals and how to set up a LAN in Linux, and the other for varied discussions on late-breaking Linux technologies.
