- Jim Licata - Network Security
- LILUG member Jim Licata gave a talk on network security. He touched upon security specific to wireless networks and discussed some intrusion detection systems. He said the next wave in security is going to be Vulnerability Assessment. He recommended that people should join security mailing lists and check out freely available Vulnerability Assessment tools such as nessus and intrustion detection systems such as snort, as well as a tool such as nmap.

Raffles
- Many, many items, too numerous to record, were raffled off
Treasury
- $69 was collected at the meeting, $15 was spent on food/drink.
- A check in the amount of $1631.09 was received by Matt Surico for all LILUG funds held by outgoing treasurer Peter Capazzi. This check will be deposited in Matt's personal account for safekeeping until a LILUG bank account is established.
