Some Applications of Interest

• PovRay with an MPI patch or PVM patch.
• gcc over distcc

According to the distcc website it takes 30 seconds to explain how to install it from source. It sounds about right. To install it in debian,

 apt-get install distcc

The package is in Sarge and Sid only. If you want a nice distcc load monitor in GTK+,

 apt-get install distccmon-gnome
