Barnes & Noble Demo Day
- Tom Rothamel reminded us that the Barnes & Noble demo day is this coming Tuesday, 21 Sept., 1999, at the Rt. 110 (Huntington) store and the InstallDay will be on Sunday 26 Sept., 1999 at SUNY Farmingdale in 111 Roosevelt Hall. Rob Dumas joined in to remind all involved to watch the group's mailing list for last minute details.
BNL Open Science/Open Source
- Tom also reminded us about our group's table for the BNL Open Science/Open Source conference on October 2, 1999. BNL will allow up to 3 persons per table to attend the meeting free of charge.

- LILUG President Matt Newhall gave a demonstration on how to set up Samba on a Linux box and how to share resources from it so that a Windows machine can get to them.
