Linux at Reuters
- LILUG Secretary Matt Surico noted that at Reuters as of 1 Jan 2004 the new datacenter policy is that Linux is the preferred OS when Windows is not being used.
Linux at Verizon
- It was also noted that Verizon is rolling out large numbers of Linux boxes internally.
Group Business
December Elections
- LILUG Vice President Chris Knadle annouced that he will be moving out of state sometime in the new year so he would be unable to continue in his position of group Vice President. John Palmieri then announced that he would run for vice-president, which opens up the Treasurer position. Matt Newhall will still be running for President and Matt Surico will still be running for Secretary
