- Tim Sailer, Mister House
- Long-time LILUG member Tim Sailer gave us a presentation on Mister House, the Open Source project designed to help you manage many things about your house and your home environment. The Mister House project centers around home automation.
- Tim began by giving a brief history of the Mister House project. He then proceeded to give a live demo, complete with X10 devices. Tim also shared some humorous stories about how he has used Mister House at his own home, including in a very creative way at Halloween!
- He showed us how to interact with Mister House, mostly through the web interface. He also spoke about ways the software can be customized. Tim gave live demonstrations of the text-to-speech features of Mister House, and also fielded many interesting questions from the group.
- He has also made his handout available in PDF format.

ePress eBooks
- LILUG President Matthew Newhall showed off his new ePress eBook and briefly described how the book he was reading was simply password protected, but otherwise had no Digital Restriction Management software encumbering its use.
